Hot and sunny conditions continue
Cyprus will experience another hot and mainly sunny day as seasonal low pressure continues to affect the region.
According to the Department of Meteorology, temperatures will climb to 39°C inland, around 35°C along the eastern and southern coasts, around 32°C on the western and northern coasts, and 30°C in the higher mountains.
Winds will initially be variable and light at around 3 Beaufort before becoming southwesterly to northwesterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Along the southern coast, winds may temporarily strengthen to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Clear skies overnight
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although patches of low cloud may develop during the early morning hours.
Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly, becoming southeasterly along the northern coast, remaining light at around 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Overnight temperatures will fall to around 23°C inland and along the coast, and 17°C in the higher mountains.
Slight cooling expected midweek
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are expected to remain mostly sunny.
Temperatures will gradually ease slightly on Wednesday and Thursday before stabilising on Friday, returning to levels close to the seasonal average.
