A major fire is currently unfolding at a factory in the Aradippou Industrial Area, with emergency services battling to bring the situation under control.

According to initial information, the blaze has spread throughout the entire factory, prompting a large-scale operation by firefighting teams at the scene.

Searches underway for trapped people

Authorities are simultaneously carrying out searches inside the building to determine whether any individuals may be trapped.

Fire crews continue to reinforce operations as efforts focus both on containing the flames and ensuring the safety of anyone who may still be inside the premises.

Firefighters focus on nearby buildings

According to the Fire Service, three fire engines, a hydraulic telescopic platform and a breathing apparatus vehicle from Larnaca fire stations have been deployed.

Additional support has also been requested from the Emergency Response Unit (EMAK), with further firefighting resources arriving at the scene.
