Cyprus weather forecast: slight temperature drop expected by Sunday
After early morning mist and low cloud lift, today’s weather will be mostly clear across Cyprus, though the afternoon may bring isolated showers in mountainous areas.
Winds will initially be light and variable, at around 3 Beaufort, becoming south-westerly to north-westerly later in the day, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will remain calm to slightly rough.
The temperature will rise to 39°C inland, around 33°C along the southern and eastern coasts, and 30°C on the western and northern coasts as well as higher mountainous regions.
Evening outlook and weekend trend
Tonight’s weather will remain mostly clear, though localised light fog or low cloud may form in some areas. Winds will stay light and variable, mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, at 3 Beaufort. Temperatures will drop to around 20°C inland and on the coast, and 19°C in the mountains.
On Friday and through the weekend, the weather will stay mostly sunny, with some increased cloud during midday and early afternoon, potentially bringing isolated showers to mountainous regions.
While no significant temperature change is expected on Friday, a gradual drop is forecast for the weekend. By Sunday, temperatures should return to near average for this time of year.
