Mostly clear skies across Cyprus
Today, Cyprus will experience mostly clear skies, though local cloud cover may increase after midday. Northeasterly winds will blow weak to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while seas will remain calm to slightly rough.
Temperature variations
Temperatures will reach 18°C inland, around 20°C along the coasts, and 9°C in the highest mountainous areas. Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, with northerly winds remaining weak to locally moderate. Inland temperatures will drop to 4°C, coastal areas to around 7°C, and mountaintops may see -1°C with localized frost.
Outlook for the week
Tuesday and Wednesday will continue to be mostly clear. On Thursday, cloud cover developing after midday may produce isolated showers, mainly in mountainous regions. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly until Wednesday and remain near or slightly above seasonal averages on Thursday.
Atmospheric conditions
A weak high-pressure system currently influences the region. From tomorrow, strengthened northeasterly airflow will affect Cyprus, and by Wednesday, sparse dust is expected in the atmosphere.
