Temperatures to reach 39°C inland
The Cyprus weather forecast will remain mainly clear on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching 39°C inland and isolated rain possible on Saturday.
Seasonal low pressure is affecting the region.
Today, the weather will be mainly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected over the mountains and inland areas during the afternoon.
Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, initially variable, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to locally moderate.
Temperatures will rise to 39°C inland, around 31°C on the southwestern and western coasts, around 34°C on the remaining coasts and 30°C in the higher mountains.
Low cloud and fog possible overnight
Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear. Later and during the early morning hours, low cloud and patches of mist or fog may form locally, mainly in southeastern areas.
Winds will be downslope and light at 3 Beaufort, while the sea will become calm to slight.
Temperatures will fall to 21°C inland, around 23°C on the coasts and 20°C in the higher mountains.
Isolated rain possible on Saturday
Locally increased cloud cover is expected during the afternoon on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, these clouds may produce isolated rain.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Saturday and will remain above average climatic values.
