Cyprus Treasury publishes salaries of all state officials

Cyprus General Treasury released comprehensive salaries details for all state officials effective 1 January 2026. The announcement emphasises transparency strengthens state service accountability, enabling citizens to hold public officials more responsible.

Data appears on the official website under “Sectors > Payroll Services / Salaries > Public Servants and State Officials Pay”, updated biannually by scale and grade, including fixed-salary positions. Net figures reflect statutory deductions using revised 2026 tax scales, excluding additional exemptions or incomes.

Presidential and Judicial top tier

President of the Republic leads with total monthly gross salary plus allowances at €14,401 and net pay after tax of €9,145.

Attorney-General, Deputy Attorney-General, Supreme Court President and Justices follow at €13,531 gross (€9,207 net).

Appeal Court President and Judges receive €12,173 gross (€8,331 net).

Legislative and commission leaders

House of Representatives President earns €11,456 gross (€7,461 net).

Public Service Commission President receives €11,431 gross (€7,241 net); Education Service Commission President gets €10,871 gross (€6,924 net).

District, Administrative, Naval and Commercial Court Presidents/Judges receive €10,712 gross (€7,456 net).

Senior executive and oversight roles

The following have a total monthly salary with allowances of €10,696 and net earnings of €7,172: the Chief of Police, the Auditor General, the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, the Head of Special Independent Services, the Director-General of a Ministry, Deputy Ministry, or General Directorate, the Chief Registrar, the Auditor General; the Commissioner for Administration (€6,825 net), and the Chair of the Competition Protection Commission (€7,366 net).

Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Government Spokesman receive €9,343 gross (€6,078 net), matching President’s Office Director-General, Transparency Commissioner (€6,385 net), Legislation Commissioner and Child Rights Commissioner (€6,078 net).

Mid-Level Judicial and administrative

Department Directors (fixed salary), Tax Commissioner: €8,996 gross (€6,145 net).

Data Protection Commissioner: €8,921 gross (€6,214 net).

Other Court Presidents, Senior District/Other Court Judges: €8,849 gross (€6,261 net).

Public Service Commission Members: €8,511 gross (€5,547 net).

National Guard Deputy Chief: €8,496 gross (€5,815 net).

Internal Audit Commissioner: €7,915 gross (€5,210 net).

Parliament and commissioners scale

MPs/Religious Representatives: €7,911 gross (€5,466 net).

Education Service Commission Members: €7,819 gross (€5,155 net).

Presidential, Environment, Animal Welfare, Citizen, Equality, Mountain Communities Development Commissioners, Cooperatives Service Commissioner: €7,866 gross (€5,386 net).

Board of the Deviation Study Council President: €7,118 gross (€5,071 net).

Reviewing Authority for Tenders President: €6,539 gross (€4,696 net).

Lower oversight positions

Anti-Corruption Independent Authority Member: €6,154 gross (€4,318 net).

State Aid Controller: €6,076 gross (€4,398 net).

Tax Council President: €5,269 gross (€3,889 net).

Deputy Government Spokesman: €5,288 gross (€3,787 net).

Competition Protection Commission Member: €5,076 gross (€3,769 net).

Tenders Review Authority Member: €5,000 gross (€3,722 net).

Missing Persons Investigating Committee Greek Cypriot Representative: €4,970 gross (€3,603 net).

Tax Council Member: €4,523 gross (€3,427 net).
