Chloraka: Sea turtle dead for two days – Four appear in court

Paphos Central Police Station received a report yesterday, 12 January, of turtle abuse by four persons in Chloraka’s coastal area. Officers attended, identified suspects at their Paphos workplace and recovered a dead turtle.

The four men, aged 58, 47, 27 and 22, were arrested yesterday under court warrants for police inquiries.

Necropsy findings

Veterinary Services performed a necropsy this morning, confirming the turtle had been dead approximately 48 hours.

Charged in writing today with nuisance offence, they were released to appear in court later. Paphos Minor Offences Department continues investigations.
