One lane of the Limassol-Nicosia highway roadworks is currently closed in the direction towards Nicosia, between Mouttagiaka and Parekklisia, due to resurfacing maintenance.
According to the Department of Public Works, the works began on Wednesday, 24 September, and are scheduled to be completed by Thursday, 2 October. They normally take place overnight, from 20:00 until 05:30 the following morning.
However, due to a mechanical breakdown of equipment used on the site, last night’s works continued into the morning and were still ongoing around 07:30 today.
During the roadworks, one lane of the highway towards Nicosia is closed in sections, with traffic being channelled into the adjacent lane.
