Azzurro inverter recall from the Cypriot market

Date:

Azzurro manufacturer has voluntarily issued a recall for an electronic inverter from the Cyprus market as it fails to meet essential requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive.

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department announced the recall concerns a grid-tie solar inverter branded AZZURRO ZCS, model AZZURRO 1PH 3000TL-V3. Made in China, distributed by Conercon Energy Solutions Ltd, and manufactured by Zucchetti Centro Sistemi S.p.A.

The Department recommends replacing the product, though replacement remains unnecessary. Consumers must return units to the distributor, who bears full responsibility for effective withdrawal execution.

Consumer rights under 2021 law

The 2021 Law on Certain Aspects of Sales of Goods Contracts grants initial free repair or replacement rights for non-compliant products. This obligation covers removal of faulty goods, installation of replacements or repaired items, or related costs. If repair or replacement proves unfeasible, consumers may withdraw from the contract, seeking full refund.

These rights apply for two years from initial delivery, with final sellers holding exclusive liability toward consumers.

Non-compliant sellers refusing remedies should receive written complaints via the Consumer Protection Service website.
