Authorities launched an operation following an attempted murder in Nicosia on Monday (9/2) at noon, targeting a 21-year-old Indian national.
Attack during financial dispute
Initial reports indicate that the 21-year-old and a friend met with five other compatriots to resolve financial disagreements.
During the meeting, one of the five attacked the young man with a blade, causing a neck laceration, before fleeing the scene.
Victim receives hospital care
The remaining individuals transported the victim and his friend to the Emergency Department of Nicosia General Hospital. Doctors confirmed the 21-year-old sustained a laceration to the neck.
Police report that his condition is stable and he is out of danger.
Investigation underway
The Nicosia CID (TAE) is actively investigating the case as an attempted murder.
