The Fire Service responded to 23 incidents in the last 24 hours: 10 fires and 13 special services.
At 19:23, crews tackled a fire in vehicles at an Athalassas Avenue apartment basement in Nicosia.
One private car suffered extensive damage; a second had front-end and paint damage. A third sustained minor paint scratches.
Residents evacuated preemptively. Firefighters used hoses, breathing apparatus, and a ventilation device for extinguishment and clearance.
Four fire engines attended.
