Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan have been officially announced as the stars of Guy Ritchie’s new crime series, which currently remains untitled.
Produced by Showtime and Paramount+, the series—previously known as The Associate—is currently in production in London.
Described as an “explosive crime series,” the plot revolves around “two rival and powerful families based in the UK capital, with business interests spanning the globe, and a fiercely loyal fixer determined to protect one of the families at all costs.”
Brosnan takes on the role of Conrad Harrigan, the patriarch of a highly successful Irish crime family based in London, and the boss of Harry Da Souza, played by Hardy.
Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, who continues her collaboration with Paramount after starring in 1923, will portray Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and matriarch of the Harrigan family.
“Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren are masters of their craft, and we are honored to have them lead the cast of Guy Ritchie’s bold new global series,” said Chris McCarthy, co-CEO and President of Paramount Global and CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios.
The series is penned by Ronan Bennett, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Ritchie, Hardy, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, David C. Glasser, and Ivan Atkinson, among others.
The ambitious project, spanning 10 hour-long episodes, is slated to premiere in 2025.
