Paphos: Teenagers steal two motorcycles and ride them to primary school

Date:

Two 15-year-olds have reportedly admitted stealing two motorcycles in Paphos before taking them to a primary school in Anavargos, where they were later found by police.

The case came to light on Wednesday (4 November) at around 7.30am, when a Limassol CID officer visiting a primary school in Anavargos for official duties noticed two motorcycles parked in the schoolyard.

Neither motorcycle had registration plates, and both showed signs of damage, raising suspicions.

Police investigation

Police officers carried out on-site checks and established the possible involvement of two 15-year-olds who had visited the school but were not pupils there.

During the initial investigation, the teenagers claimed they had bought the motorcycles from another person.

However, during subsequent questioning, they reportedly admitted stealing the two vehicles themselves the previous evening from the Karavellas area of Paphos.

The investigation established that the teenagers had used the stolen motorcycles to travel to the primary school in Anavargos, where they were eventually located.

Both minors were arrested, and police are continuing their investigation into the case.
