A private school in Nicosia was evacuated this morning after an email warned of an explosive device, with police later determining that the threat was a hoax.
According to police, an electronic message reporting the placement of an explosive device at the school was received at around 8:25am.
Authorities responded and examined the incident before determining that the threat was a hoax.
Following the assessment, the children safely returned to their classrooms and lessons resumed.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
