Tourist injured after falling into sea in Pomos

Two lifeguards made a crucial intervention in the sea area of Pomos, Paphos, on Friday morning after a German tourist was injured in a fall and fell unconscious in the water.

Tourist fell from jetty

According to Sigma correspondent Marios Ignatiou, the approximately 55-year-old man slipped from the jetty where boats are moored and fell into the sea.

He hit his head in the fall and lost consciousness.

Two lifeguards immediately noticed what had happened and rushed to the scene. They provided assistance and carried out the necessary procedures to pull the unconscious man from the water.

Their prompt intervention prevented the situation from becoming more serious.

Tourist taken for medical checks

The tourist was subsequently taken by a relative for medical examinations to assess his condition.
