Limassol: Crash leaves 19-year-old in serious condition

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Limassol early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 1 am while the young man was riding his motorcycle along Nikaia Avenue.

Shortly before the Ypsonas roundabout, under circumstances that remain under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to overturn and leaving him on the road.

Rider suffers multiple fractures

The 19-year-old was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where medical examinations found that he had suffered multiple fractures.

He was admitted for treatment, with his condition described as serious.

Police investigation underway

Police said the motorcycle involved was not found at the scene of the accident.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated by the authorities.
