Chaos has been caused by the severe weather conditions affecting Cyprus since this morning.
Dozens of problems have been reported, as heavy rainfall has caused trees and scaffolding to collapse, while power outages and disruptions to the road network have also been recorded.
In one incident in the Stavrou area of Strovolos, scaffolding collapsed due to the severe weather, with part of the structure falling onto the balcony outside an elderly woman’s bedroom while she was inside the house.
The elderly woman was not injured.
