Authorities in Larnaca arrested a 39-year-old Iranian man after he allegedly caused a disturbance and attacked a police officer.
According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 11pm on Monday, when officers found the man lying on the ground in an open area of the city.
When he noticed the officers, the man began shouting and causing a disturbance in the area. He then allegedly attacked one of the police officers.
The 39-year-old was subsequently arrested by authorities in connection with the incident.
