A serious crash occurred in Trachoni shortly after midnight when, under circumstances being investigated, a 14-year-old boy riding an electric scooter collided with the rear of a parked car.
The teenager was initially taken to Limassol General Hospital before being transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for further medical examinations.
Teenager remains in intensive care
Doctors found that the 14-year-old had suffered an epidural haematoma and admitted him for further treatment.
He was subsequently transferred to Makarios Hospital, where he will remain under observation and receive treatment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
His condition is described as stable.
The Episkopi Police Station is continuing its investigation into the crash.
