Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious road collision in the Larnaca district, which left a 22-year-old woman critically injured.
The collision occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday on the Delikipos–Lythrodontas road.
According to Police, the motorcycle driven by the 22-year-old woman collided, under circumstances that remain under investigation, with a car driven by a 45-year-old man.
Police officers attended the scene to conduct examinations, while an ambulance transported the young woman to Nicosia General Hospital.
Medical examinations revealed that the 22-year-old had suffered a head injury. She received treatment and was subsequently transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where she remains intubated.
According to her treating doctors, her condition is considered critical.
The Kofinou Regional Police Station is continuing its investigation into the circumstances and causes of the collision.
