A road closure will be in place on Saturday, 8 August 2026, in Strovolos as part of ongoing improvement works on Tseriou Avenue.
The junction of Alexandroupoleos Street, Pythonos Street and Strovolos Avenue in Strovolos will remain closed between 6 am and 5 pm to allow construction works to proceed.
Temporary diversions introduced
During the works, traffic will be redirected through temporary alternative routes via Elaionon Street, Tseriou Avenue, Athinon Street, Themistokleous Street and Kantaras Street, with access maintained in all directions.
The road closure forms part of wider efforts to improve Tseriou Avenue and upgrade the road network in the area.
Drivers urged to exercise caution
Drivers are advised to remain patient, reduce speed and follow the temporary road signs that will be placed in the area.
Authorities are urging motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time while the works are underway.
