Baby with pneumonia transferred from Polis to Limassol due to lack of beds

Date:

A child from Polis Chrysochous was urgently transferred to Limassol General Hospital for diagnosis as Paphos General Hospital had no available beds.

“This is a photo from today at Paphos General Hospital. A child from the Polis Chrysochous area, suffering from pneumonia and tachycardia, is being urgently transferred to a hospital in Limassol because Paphos General Hospital has no vacant beds in its pediatric ward, which only has 9+1 beds.

The distance increases the risk. Four years of the same scenario, while some celebrate ‘successes.’ How much inefficiency can there be?” wrote the Mayor of Polis, Phaedonas Phaedonos.
