Police are investigating a robbery in Limassol after a 21-year-old food delivery driver was assaulted and robbed during the early hours of Wednesday.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at around 1 am while the 21-year-old was driving in Limassol.
Three suspects on scooters
Police said three unidentified suspects riding scooter-type mopeds approached the victim before blocking his vehicle.
The suspects then opened the driver’s door, dragged the 21-year-old from the car and assaulted him.
They allegedly stole €1,800 from the vehicle’s storage compartment before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Victim treated and discharged
The victim was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors found he had sustained facial injuries.
After receiving first aid, he was discharged.
The robbery remains under investigation by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
