The father of the two children who were found dead inside a vehicle in Xylofagou last Sunday appeared before the court again on Thursday.
The case in Xylofagou has entered a new stage following developments announced by the British Bases authorities.
Charge brought after investigation period
According to the British Bases, following the completion of his detention period for further police investigations, the father has now been formally charged with causing death through a reckless act.
Authorities confirmed the charge after investigators completed procedures related to the case.
Court orders continued detention
The Court ordered that the accused remain in custody until the next scheduled hearing.
The case has been set for 16 July at 9:00am.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two children remain ongoing.
