Police are investigating an attempted murder case and other serious offences involving two women, aged 38 and 58.
The two women were found injured in an apartment in Nicosia at around 4:50pm yesterday and were taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
According to police, a 35-year-old man allegedly attacked his wife and mother-in-law with a knife under circumstances that are still under investigation and for reasons that remain unknown.
Authorities said the suspect has been wanted since February in connection with a domestic violence case.
As part of the investigation, police have released the suspect’s details and photograph and are appealing to the public for information that could assist in locating him.
