New procedure for pensioners available on TAXISnet

Date:

The General Accounting Office of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that data related to state pensions for the tax year 2025 has been automatically uploaded into the TAXISnet system, streamlining the submission of tax returns.

The move aims to reduce administrative burden and simplify the process of pension taxation for affected citizens.

Pension data fully integrated into system

According to the announcement, the automated process includes annual pension amounts for state officials, public sector employees, as well as widows and widowers entitled to pensions.

It also incorporates deductions and withholdings carried out during 2025, ensuring that all relevant financial data is already available within the system.

Easier tax filing for retirees

As a result, affected individuals can now proceed directly with submitting their tax declarations without the need to obtain separate income statements from the Pensions Sector of the General Accounting Office.

Officials said this significantly reduces delays and bureaucratic procedures, improving efficiency in the tax filing process.

Aim to reduce administrative burden

The General Accounting Office stressed that the new procedure is designed to simplify obligations and reduce inconvenience for retirees.

The system upgrade is also expected to improve operational efficiency and support the broader digitalisation of public services in Cyprus, particularly in the area of pension taxation.
