Limassol: Syrians call for support of “mujahidin brothers in Idlib and Aleppo”

Syrians residing in Cyprus are calling for a large gathering on Sunday at the Marina in Molos, Limassol, at 1:00 p.m., “to support their brothers, the mujahidin in Idlib and Aleppo,” through Facebook groups.

In a related post yesterday, they wrote the following:

“Glory to God, Lord of the worlds, and prayers upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

To every free and dignified person in Cyprus,
Our Syrian brothers, we call you to a demonstration on Sunday, December 8, 2024, to support our brothers fighting in Idlib.

Let it be known to all that this revolution is a revolution of honour and dignity, and that those who initiated the battles and liberated our land are sons of the region, not terrorists as claimed by Western countries.

We call every free and dignified person to join us this coming Sunday, December 8, 2024, for a demonstration in support of our brothers fighting and our people in Idlib and Aleppo, who are under attack by the criminal regime and Iranian and Russian militias.

God is Great, and glory belongs to God, His Messenger, and the faithful.

According to videos circulating on social media, in recent days, following the escalation of conflict in Syria, Syrians gathered once again waving FSA flags and chanting slogans, including Allahu Akbar, to show their support for the “rebels.”

Some believe that the organisers of Sunday’s gathering should first obtain the necessary permits from the Cypriot authorities. Others argue that organising such a demonstration is a bad idea, as negative perceptions about the “revolution” in Syria have already been created.
