Police have arrested a second suspect, a 36-year-old man, in connection with a case involving the attempted destruction of property using explosive materials, which occurred in Paphos on March 30, 2026.
The suspect was arrested at around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday under a court warrant issued following evidence obtained by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department during the course of the investigation. He is expected to appear before a court today for the issuance of a remand order.
A 46-year-old man was previously arrested in connection with the same case on April 1 under a separate court warrant. He remains in custody pending trial before the Paphos Assize Court.
According to investigators, an explosion occurred outside the offices of a company in Paphos during the early hours of March 30. The blast caused damage to the glass entrance and walls of the building.
Examinations at the scene revealed that an improvised incendiary device containing a flammable substance and a factory-made firecracker had been placed outside the entrance and subsequently detonated.
