Warmer weather on the way
A noticeable temperature rise is expected over the coming days, as weak high pressure begins to affect the region.
While periods of increased cloud may still occur, along with isolated showers mainly in mountainous and inland areas, temperatures are set to follow an upward trend through to Saturday, slightly exceeding seasonal averages.
Chance of isolated showers today
Today, the weather will be mostly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected at times.
By early afternoon, clouds may develop to bring isolated rain, mainly in mountainous areas and inland regions.
Winds will initially be southeast to southwest at light strength, around 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting southwest to west at light to moderate levels of 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slight.
Temperatures will reach 23°C inland, around 22°C along the coasts and 12°C in higher mountainous areas.
Clear conditions overnight
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, with occasional low cloud.
Winds will be mainly northwest to northeast at light strength, around 3 Beaufort, while the sea will remain calm to slight.
Temperatures will drop to 11°C inland, around 13°C on the coast and 5°C in higher mountainous areas.
Sunny outlook through Saturday
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are expected to be mostly clear.
The temperature rise will continue gradually through to Saturday, with values slightly above the average for this time of year.
Snow remains in Troodos
Snow depth at Chionistra was measured at 10 centimetres at the time of the report.
