Clinic owner targeted for a second time: Four ambulances set on fire

Date:

Unknown individuals set fire to four ambulances belonging to a private clinic early in the morning. Just a few days earlier, unknown perpetrators had thrown a defensive grenade at the home of the clinic owner in Agia Marinouda.

A 59-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the case, while, according to Police, there had also been a prior attempted arson.

According to Sigma’s correspondent in Paphos, the fire broke out around 01:00 a.m., targeting four ambulances parked in the clinic’s parking area in Geroskipou.

The fire was extinguished by the Fire Service.

The damage is extensive, mainly affecting the front parts of the ambulances, although the total cost has not yet been calculated.

Preliminary examinations suggest that the fire was deliberately set.

Investigations are ongoing.
