Car fire damages vehicle in Paphos

Early morning blaze in Emba

A vehicle caught fire around 4 AM on Monday in the Emba area of Paphos. The car, owned by a company and driven by a 52-year-old man, was parked in an open space when the fire broke out.

Fire contained by owner

The fire was extinguished by the vehicle’s owner using a garden hose before the arrival of the Fire Service. Despite this, the front section of the car, including the engine compartment, windshield, and dashboard, suffered extensive damage.

The Fire Service later inspected the vehicle and disconnected the battery terminals as a safety precaution.

Investigation ongoing

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Paphos CID (Paphos CID), the Fire Service, and the Electromechanical Service. Authorities are coordinating to determine the origin of the blaze.
