A bomb blast occurred at the entrance of the Pavilion event centre in Nicosia district early Monday morning, causing significant damage to the building’s frontage.
Explosion at the venue
The Cyprus Police reported that the explosion took place around 03:20. Officers, including bomb disposal experts, rushed to the scene to carry out investigations.
Preliminary examinations confirmed that an explosive device was detonated at the entrance, shattering the glass façade of the property.
Investigation ongoing
The area was cordoned off for further examination, with the Nicosia CID continuing the investigation into the incident throughout Monday morning.
