Foot-and-mouth disease: New case at cattle farm in Dromolaxia

Authorities have confirmed a positive case of foot-and-mouth disease in a cattle farm in Dromolaxia, located on the outskirts of a 10-kilometre infected zone.

Epidemiological investigation underway

The detection follows ongoing epidemiological research and laboratory testing. Veterinary Services will provide further details and clarifications during a press conference scheduled in the coming days.

Farm details

The affected farm houses approximately 500 cattle, according to information from the Ministry of Agriculture. Measures are expected to focus on containing the outbreak and preventing further spread.
