Ukrainian drones torch Russian oil depot in Tambov

Date:

Ukrainian drones hit an oil depot in Russia’s Tambov region overnight, sparking a major fire, local governor Yevgeny Pervyshov confirmed Tuesday.

Firefighters and law enforcement rushed to the site in Dmitriyevka. All necessary resources mobilised to contain the blaze.

Overnight air defence claims

Russia’s Defence Ministry said air defences intercepted and destroyed 102 Ukrainian UAVs across seven regions:

  • 26 over Belgorod
  • 22 over Bryansk
  • 21 over Kursk
  • 16 over Rostov

The Tambov strike was not mentioned in the official tally.

Broader context

The attack follows a record November for Ukrainian hits on Russian energy infrastructure – 14 confirmed strikes reducing refining capacity by 15%. This led to domestic fuel rationing and export curbs.
