Scientific evidence secured in the Aglantzia fatal crash

Date:

Four months after the fatal crash in Aglantzia — an incident that fueled public concern and suspicion — the case has now entered a crucial phase in its investigation.

Speaking on the Protoselido program, Chief Inspector of the Police Traffic Department Tasos Asiikkis said that the Law Office recently asked the police for clarifications and additional investigative work. “We completed what they requested and sent the file back to the Law Office with our findings. We now await further instructions from the Attorney General’s office,” he noted.

He added that the Police secured scientific evidence for the case.

“Rest assured, when the Police secure sufficient visual evidence in any case, especially in fatal road collisions, where sensitivity is even higher, we act. Once we identify evidence that allows us to move forward with further steps, whether for criminal charges or other measures, we proceed accordingly,” he stressed.
