Two tourists seriously injured in Ayia Napa crash on Monday evening, after the quad bike they were riding collided with two vehicles. The incident occurred at around 7.20pm on Nissi Avenue and is under investigation by police.

According to initial reports, a four-wheeled motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old tourist, with a 19-year-old compatriot as a passenger, first struck a vehicle ahead of them under circumstances still being examined. The quad bike then collided with an oncoming bus travelling in the opposite direction.

Both young men sustained serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital. The 20-year-old driver was admitted for treatment after suffering leg fractures. The 19-year-old passenger, who sustained serious injuries to his leg and face, was intubated and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital due to the severity of his condition.

Ayia Napa Police Station is continuing its investigation into the incident.
