Four arrested in Larnaca for firearm possession case

Date:

Four individuals have been arrested in Larnaca for airgun possession, use, and transport, as well as for reckless acts, as part of an ongoing police investigation.

According to the Police Communication Branch, the arrests followed a complaint by two citizens who reported separate incidents on Sunday, 17 August. While in open areas in Larnaca, both individuals felt hits from an unknown object — one on the head and the other on the back — allegedly from what may have been an airgun.

It appears the blows came from a passing vehicle, in which the four arrested individuals were later found to have been using.

Judicial arrest warrants were issued against the four suspects, who were then taken into custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
