Limassol man confesses to killing 81-year-old father

Date:

A shocking Limassol murder confession is under investigation, after a 48-year-old man called police early Wednesday to report that he had killed his 81-year-old father.

The confession came at around 4:25am, when the man phoned the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and calmly stated that he had fatally stabbed his father inside their home.

CID officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the 81-year-old man dead. The suspect, who remained on site, was arrested and taken in for questioning at the Limassol CID.

Police have confirmed they are treating the case as a premeditated murder, though no motive has yet been publicly disclosed. The home has been cordoned off, and forensic experts have begun examining the scene for evidence.

According to sources, the man’s Limassol murder confession came without resistance, and investigators are now focusing on his mental state, family background, and any previous history of violence or instability.

The incident has deeply unsettled the community, particularly due to the nature of the crime and the suspect’s voluntary admission. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
