Date:

The mobile application “SafeCY” has officially launched today, allowing citizens to locate the nearest shelter in real time whenever needed. The app is available for Android devices (via Play Store) and iOS devices (via App Store), and is offered in both Greek and English.

Through the app, users can identify the closest shelters to their current location, with the option to search for shelters using other criteria such as address or postcode. The app also includes guidelines and useful information, aimed at keeping citizens well-informed.

The “SafeCY” app harnesses modern technology to strengthen the country’s early warning system for the public. Its development and implementation reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing civil protection, especially in emergency situations where fast and accurate information is essential.
