Afternoon rain possible as temperatures climb to 32°C

A weak low-pressure system continues to affect the region.

Today, the weather will be mostly clear, though locally increased cloud cover is expected in the afternoon, which may bring isolated showers, especially over the mountains. Winds will be south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, increasing to strong 5 Beaufort on windward coasts later in the day. The sea will be slight to moderate.

Temperatures will rise to 32°C inland, 25°C on the western coast, around 27°C on other coastal areas, and 22°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, although low cloud and patchy mist may form during the early morning hours. Winds will stay south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be relatively calm, with light waves. Overnight temperatures will fall to 18°C inland, around 20°C on the coast, and 10°C in the mountains.

Thursday: Mostly clear, with increased clouds in the afternoon possibly bringing isolated rain over the mountains.
Friday & Saturday: Partly cloudy in places, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon, mainly over the mountains and inland.

No significant temperature changes are expected over the next three days, with values remaining slightly below average for the season.
