Fuel prices in Cyprus have been on a downward trend since 27 February.
This was stated on state radio by the Director of the Consumer Service, Constantinos Karayiorkis, who noted that in the coming days a further reduction of four to five cents per litre is expected.
When asked to comment on the delay in price reductions compared to international fluctuations, Mr Karayiorkis acknowledged that there is certainly some time lag. However, he pointed out that Cyprus is ranked among the cheapest countries in Europe in terms of fuel prices.
