Herzog: Israel and Cyprus as vital pillars of stability

Date:

The strong friendship and collaboration between Israel and Cyprus, as well as their peoples, are vital pillars of stability, security, and hope in our region, stated Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

In a post on “X” following his brief visit to Cyprus yesterday afternoon and his meeting with President Nikos Christodoulides, President Herzog expressed his gratitude to President Christodoulides for his “steadfast friendship and the warm and productive discussion” they had.

He added that they discussed “issue that is of the highest priority—bringing home the hostages being cruelly held by Hamas in Gaza—as well as the latest regional challenges and the humanitarian efforts in Gaza.”

The strong friendship and cooperation between Israel and Cyprus, as well as their peoples, Herzog continued, “are vital pillars of stability, security, and hope in our region. I deeply value the partnership we share and look forward to continuing to work together for a brighter future,” he added.
