39-year-old Rodosthenis Christodoulou killed in crash

A fatal crash in Nicosia has claimed the life of 39-year-old Rodosthenis Christodoulou, formerly from Geri, after a motorcycle accident in Latsia on Sunday night.

The crash occurred at around 10:20pm on Agiou Georgiou Street, when the motorcycle driven by the 39-year-old was travelling towards Geri.

Under circumstances being investigated, the motorcycle veered off its course, struck the pavement and then collided with a traffic sign.

Rider pronounced dead at hospital

Following the impact, the motorcycle slid for a considerable distance before coming to a stop on the road.

The 39-year-old was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the doctor on duty confirmed his death.

Police continue investigation

The Nicosia Traffic Police Department is continuing investigations into the circumstances of the fatal collision.
