24-year-old seriously injured after 11-metre fall, stable condition

A 24-year-old man was seriously injured in a workplace accident in Paphos on Wednesday and is currently hospitalised at Paphos General Hospital.

Fall from roof

According to police and preliminary reports, the man was working on the roof of a building in Paphos when, under circumstances still under investigation, he fell approximately 11 metres to the ground.

Injuries and medical condition

The injured worker was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital. Doctors have classified his condition as serious but stable, confirming he is not in immediate danger.

He sustained injuries to the neck and pelvis, a head wound, and lung contusions.

Investigation ongoing

The Police and the Department of Labour Inspection are jointly investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine contributing factors and ensure workplace safety compliance.
