22-year-old woman succumbs to injuries after crash

A 22-year-old woman has died after a crash on the Delikipos-Lythrodontas road on August 8.

The victim was identified as Anreea Larisa Harabor, a Romanian national who was permanently residing in Cyprus.

The road collision occurred shortly before 5 pm on Saturday, when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a car driven by a 45-year-old man at a bend in the road.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.

Woman died in hospital

Police officers visited the scene to conduct examinations, while an ambulance transported the 22-year-old to Nicosia General Hospital.

Medical examinations found that she had suffered a head injury. She was treated and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where she remained intubated for several days.

She succumbed to her injuries shortly before 12 pm on Tuesday.

The exact cause of death will be determined during a post-mortem examination scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
