A Nicosia fatal crash late on Thursday night left a 15-year-old boy dead after a motorcycle collision in Strovolos, police said.
The fatal crash happened at around 9:15pm on Thursday on Ifigeneias Avenue in Strovolos.
According to police, a motorcycle driven by a 15-year-old, with a 17-year-old passenger, collided under circumstances still under investigation with a car driven by a 39-year-old man.
Following the impact, the motorcycle also crashed into a parked vehicle.
Teen dies in hospital
Both riders were injured and taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital.
Doctors confirmed that the 15-year-old, identified as Hosh Mustafa, a Syrian national, died from his injuries shortly after arrival.
The 17-year-old remains in the intensive care unit, where doctors describe his condition as critical.
Motorcycle reported stolen
Police said further checks showed the motorcycle involved in the Nicosia fatal crash had been reported stolen by its owner on March 9, 2026.
The Nicosia Traffic Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
