Pianist Yiannis Georgiou will take the stage at Rialto Theatre on Friday, 31 January 2025, for
a piano recital showcasing some of the most treasured works of classical music. The
evening promises to be an inspiring journey through masterpieces by Schumann, Brahms,
and Rachmaninoff.
The program begins with Schumann’s Kreisleriana, Op. 16, a series of emotionally rich
pieces filled with contrast and imagination. The second part features Brahms’ reflective late
piano works, Op. 119, alongside selections from Rachmaninoff’s Preludes and
Études-Tableaux, which highlight the composer’s unique ability to combine melody and
virtuosity.
The recital will be held under the auspices of the Mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis.
