Woman in Limassol reports MP for assault

Date:

A woman presented herself at the Limassol Police Directorate on Sunday (4/1), where she reported a Member of Parliament for assault.

According to her statement, the incident occurred a few days ago while the two of them were abroad.

Investigators from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) intend to seek instructions from the Legal Service, both because, according to the complaint, the alleged offence appears to have been committed outside Cyprus, and in relation to the possibility of lifting parliamentary immunity, so that further investigation of the case may proceed.
