Woman and two children injured by dogs in Limassol – Two arrests

Date:

At around 9:45 a.m. yesterday, police received information that dogs had bitten a woman and two children in the Moni industrial area of Limassol.

Police officers attended the scene and found a 25-year-old woman along with two young children, aged six and three. The woman and the three-year-old had sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies and were taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital.

The three-year-old was discharged with instructions, while the 25-year-old required surgery to treat her wounds. Doctors have assessed her condition as stable and not life-threatening.

Further investigation revealed that the attack was carried out by three dogs living at a nearby residence. The dogs’ owners, aged 43 and 36, were arrested under court warrants and are in custody to assist with the investigation. The dogs, which were found without identification or licences, were taken into the care of a veterinary officer.

The Moni Police Station, in cooperation with the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID), is continuing the investigation.
