The Cyprus weather forecast points to mainly clear skies on Friday, with temperatures climbing to 38C inland before rising slightly over the weekend.
Seasonal low pressure is affecting the region, while locally increased cloud cover is expected mainly around midday during the weekend and on Monday.
Temperatures reach 38C inland
Friday will be mainly clear, with winds initially light and variable at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming south-westerly to north-westerly at 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Winds may strengthen locally along the southern coast, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort.
The sea will be slight to locally moderate.
Temperatures will rise to 38C inland, around 34C on the southern and eastern coasts, 32C on the western and northern coasts and 28C in the higher mountains.
Low cloud and possible fog overnight
Friday night will remain mainly clear, although increased low cloud is expected at times.
Light mist or fog could form locally, particularly during the early morning hours.
Winds will be mainly north-westerly to north-easterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will remain slight to locally moderate.
Temperatures will fall to 18C inland, around 22C on the coast and 17C in the higher mountains.
Slight rise expected over the weekend
The Cyprus weather forecast for the weekend and Monday remains predominantly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected mainly around midday.
Temperatures will gradually rise slightly over the weekend before dropping marginally on Monday. Despite the decline, they are expected to remain above seasonal averages.
